RUST CONVERTER
The rust neutralizer from Chemikal States LLC operates through several stages, including penetration, chemical conversion, and surface stabilization of corroded metal substrates.
- Penetration into Rust Structure:
The rust neutralizer is a water-based formula containing active chemical compounds capable of deeply penetrating the porous structure of rust. Upon application to a rusted surface, the solution begins to infiltrate the rust layer, reaching the underlying metal. - Rust Conversion:
As the neutralizer penetrates, it chemically reacts with the iron oxides (rust). The active ingredients convert the iron oxides into stable, insoluble chemical compounds. This process typically involves reducing the rust to a compound that is resistant to further corrosion and forming a protective layer that prevents future oxidation. - Surface Stabilization:
After converting the rust, the neutralizer leaves a protective coating on the surface, acting as a barrier against moisture and oxygen, thereby preventing further corrosion. This layer is often dark and uniform, indicating successful rust conversion.
Once the rust neutralizer has dried, the treated surface can be directly painted without the need for additional degreasing. This streamlines the repair and protection process for metal surfaces, ensuring effective and long-lasting corrosion resistance.
